Aloha to you,

Welcome to the refreshed SharedWisdom website!

While retaining the best of the best from the original website, this new platform will be a means to bring forward unpublished materials and teaching from Hank Wesselman, Hale Makua and Jill Kuykendall. We started as a merry band of three in 1996, and through the years we have sat in circle with 10,000s of people, sharing wisdom and connecting with each other. It will continue!

New material on the site begins with Hank Wesselman’s Visionary Paintings, featuring places and spirits that Hank perceived in an altered state of consciousness in the late 1980s – a shamanic visionary state or in his nighttime dreaming while living in South Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. There was no chemical stimulus involved and the images came spontaneously. He created the paintings between 1987-1989, except for one painted in 1997.

This coincides with the Spiritwalker: Messages From The Future experiences and became a means of expression for what he was experiencing inwardly. The influence and impact of the paintings have been preserved in canvas giclee (actual size as the paintings) and 16X20” watercolor paper prints and are available for purchase. It is with utmost gratitude that I thank Kathleen Thormod Carr, photographer, for bringing this project into the light of day, with the quality and professionalism that she offers. A tip of the hat to those of service behind the scenes, Richard Spees and Carol Barfoot.

The Visionary Paintings are the first of three divisions of Hank’s painting collection to be offered. It is our intent to present the other two in the coming months. We chose to start with the Visionary Paintings because their influence assists to “create bridges between the every day and the eternal” (HW). On occasion people experience these paintings as gateways to the subtler realms of reality, worthy of contemplation, exploration and experience.

Energy is flowing to bring forward additional teaching materials, written and video recorded, that can be of service to new and continuing students. For example, a friend attended Hank’s last semester of his academic course, Magic, Witchcraft and Religion, at a local college in California and recorded each class. There are 32 mini-videos being converted to digital format and will be the source for more teaching from Hank. His academic classes did not include journey experiences, yet it did allow for more information and stories about spiritual traditions and practices to be shared. Don’t let the academic setting fool you! Hank taught wearing an Aloha shirt often and rarely looked at notes. He made it fun and entertaining as well as transformative.

I have been persuaded to record my teaching and make those recordings available, thanks to the good and kind people at Conscious Marketer – Richard Taubinger and Sarah Kreuz. I look forward to doing so in the coming months, as part of the new projects rolling out.

An introduction of the new SharedWisdom website would not be complete without drawing your attention to the memorial page for Hank. It is beautiful and filled with Aloha. I invite you to spend reflective time there. The page is longer than most, yet so full of acknowledgments, remembrances, and images of Hank. Please do take some time to experience the memorial in its total presentation. A heartfelt thank you to Sarah Kreuz for her creation of this beautiful place where others can gather in his memory.

This is a great new beginning, made possible by the ever constant process of change. Let us celebrate our refreshed connections and move forward with Courage and Love!

Aloha,

Jill
